What is exchange?
As part of your degree, you can choose to undertake one or two semesters of study at another overseas university. We have student exchange agreements with over 160 partner universities in more than 30 countries across the globe, all offering a different suite of opportunities. Immerse yourself in the culture and university lifestyle at one of our many partners, and make the most out of your degree
How does it work?
While overseas on the exchange, you will:
- stay enrolled at Monash
- receive credit for your overseas study towards your Monash degree
- continue paying your Monash fees
Where can I go?
We have partner universities in Europe, North America, South America, Asia, Oceania and Africa – meaning studying a semester or two in places like Norway, South Africa, Japan, Germany and Mexico is easier than you think.
Choosing preferred universities
By Monash Abroad standards, you need a minimum of a 60% WAM to be eligible to apply for semester exchange. However
, many of our partner universities have higher requirements and have limited spaces available (e.g. King's College London requires students to have a 3.3 GPA, which is roughly an 80% WAM)
. Use the information in the Fact Sheet section in the brochures of the partner universities to assist you in choosing realistic first and second preferences.
You can view web pages for all of our partner universities here
