ATS2332/ATS3332: Music Overseas Study Program 2
This is a two-week unit of music study held at the Monash Prato Centre. The unit covers a wide range of subjects and a diverse ensemble program.
Taught by Sir Zelman Cowen School of Music staff and international artists, you will participate in workshops with musicians from around the world, making this a unique opportunity to gain a global perspective on chamber music performance and composition.
This unit will also introduce you to the study of music in different cultural contexts. Culturally-specific approaches to performance, research and composition will be investigated in their environments.
The focus of the unit will be a reflective approach to the integration of diverse traditions of music into individual creative and research activity.
